This year the date of the 100 didn't suit the plans of many of us, unfortunately.
It was particularly unfortunate that most of us that usually help by marshalling or handing up drinks & sponges were away on the day. Pete & Myself in France, Frank Cubis and Dave & Judy Margery in Italy (at least that's where Frank would have been if he'd not been in hospital!) and Ron & Doreen in Norway
Ann & Jake, who might otherwise have ridden this 100, were riding the South East Division Road Race Championships at Goodwood, along with Jen. And Brian, who might also have ridden this event is struggling to find a 100 that is convenient for him.
With only three Phoenix riders entered, this event doesn't count as a club event either. |
