Another wet morning, although not as unpleasant as the Kingston to Worthing. The drizzle was heavier to the North of the course and lighter in the South, with a rising sou'Westerly wind. Our compliments to the District's course measurers, who have successfully taken the existing G50/12 and rearranged it for a start and finish near Broadbridge Heath.
Simon proved that his stamina is increasing with age by producing a pb (he thinks!). Pete also turned in a good ride, as did Grant - is that a pb Grant?
Jen, Jake and I all found the damp a little too cooling on the muscles to be conducive to speed. Although Jen turned in her 2nd best ride ever (as this was only her 4th 50!)
Thanks to Frank & Judy and Ron & Doreen for fulfilling our marshalling duties for the SCCU. Finally, it was nice to see Joe out with his camera as he forgot that the 50 was an Open Event and neglected to enter, hopefully he will have some nice action pictures of 6 drowned rats.
